1 Cor 9:24 - "Run to win"

The devil will try and take us away from what God wants for us. There are many things he'll try and convise us of, they are all lies.

He would:

Tell me it's too late


Make me a victim and not a victor
Sometimes stuff happens to think we can't rise up - he wants to make us think this isn't true. You learn to be a victim and say things like "I can't" or "I'm no good". God can help us unlearn stuff and we are forcefully advancing. God is bigger than any obsticle. We need to know this.

We can do anything because of who Jesus is.


Help me find excuses
I didn't mean for that to happen.... yeah, I get that one. He'll try and tell us that it doesn't matter and present sin as something that is okay and to just use our past or experience as excuses to sin. This is one that happens a lot to me and I'm hoping to be moving out of that place soon with the help of the Holy Spirit.


Compare myself to other people
It'll go wrong if you try and be like someone else. There is a gap for us in history. He's make me to be me, here and now. Psalm 133 says "I am wonderfully made." God has a plan for us which wont work if we try and be someone else. He empowers us to be like ourselves.

I'm flipping awesom!! When God made me, He broke the mold!! I am unique!!!


The enemy camps where we are supposed to be great, and will try to put us off. We now know his strategies so we now know what to look out for.
