Yesterday I got iLife '05 delivered, and it's a fantastic package. Microsoft would never deliver 5 great programs in one package for £30 (hmmm Student Discount at the Apple Store mmmmm). I've been playing with Garage Band 2 and although the fancy music annotation graphic doesn't happen, I can indeed see the music score being built up at the bottom of the screen when using 'Software Instruments'.
I already have the latest iTunes (and lovin' it). iPhoto looks good especially the way you can 'straighten' images (it rotates it and zooms in ever-so-slightly) - very handy (I'm not a fantastic photographer and this will help a lot). Also the cool stuff you can do to make images look more artistic and I think I'll be able to add meta-data so I can put a bit of information with each image to make it easier to search for stuff in OS 10.4 (I'll hopefully get this for Christmas this year).
I haven't had the chance to play with iMovice HD or iDVD (iDVD wasn't installed as I don't have a DVD writer - grrr they weren't shipped with my version of the iBook) but they'er pretty cool (from Steve's Keynotes).
I'm now waiting for my new hard drive to appear (160 GB Firewire hard drive). It should be here my now (it was shipped at 6:30 this morning) but I expect we'll be one of the last stops. I'm totally running out of space on my laptop (until I put some stuff on DVD (via my PC) - I have 6GB left and that will soon go when I get some more podcasts downloaded. Also 160 GB will be fun to use up for my final year project :) - and it's got USB so I can take it to uni too (yippeee).
Man that was a boring geek post ;)
